Ampion is committed to ensuring that African tech entrepreneurs are effectively equipped with the tools and skills needed to succeed, acquire investment and scale their impact. In order to not reinvent the wheel, Ampion strong believes in close collaborations with local communities and organizations driven by the same objective of inclusive and sustainable development in Africa.
Our team consists of a driven and multicultural workforce. We work with students, volunteers, professional ecosystem partners, corporate executives, government and foundation representatives to achieve our goals.
Our Founder and CEO, Fabian-Carlos Guhl has a background in development cooperation and tech ecosystem development. He has worked in both public and private sector across 25 African countries over the past five years. Fabian worked with the European Young Innovators Forum in Brussels, the United Nations Secretariat in NYC and African Development Bank Group in Tunis.
He served on the Global Steering Board of Africa Code Week, an initiative that introduces 1,3 Million African children annually to the concept of code, and he is a regular speaker on startups and innovation in Africa at high-level events like The Africa CEO Forum by Jeune Afrique, the International Finance Development Forum by The World Bank Group and the Global Entrepreneurship Summit by the U.S. State Department.
He was a delegate and facilitator at the World Economic Forum for Africa and a contributor to its Internet4All Initiative. Fabian is the Africa Representative of the German Startups Association. Fabian studied Media, Communications and International Business at Freie Universität Berlin, CELSA – Université Paris Sorbonne IV and ESCP Europe in London and Paris.
